Data Assessment Team

The Data Assessment Team (DAT) is a collab DAT Team oration between ASUN and the Center for Student Engagement geared at gathering feedback from students who attend campus events. As an all-volunteer group, we are looking for people who understand the value of higher education and want to promote that to their peers and colleagues through social interactions and technology. This is not your “ordinary” group of techies… this group is being put together to make data collection cool, while at the same time improving the programs, services and events offered to our students!

Students who will be successful in this role are those who are self-driven, enthusiastic, love working with people and gadgets and have passion and commitment. This team will cover programs, services and events put on around campus and collect data from the students and faculty to help identify areas where improvements need to be made. They will serve as the “go to” for information on campus involvement and provide excellent professional development, usually only given to upper classmen.

Some of the functions of the group are to:

Collect event attendance through card swiping
Improve campus events
Gather student feedback and suggestions
Be the “go to” group for information
Promote campus involvement
Expand involvement opportunities
Ensure learning outcomes are being met at events
Distribute quizzes, prizes, and gifts for student participation
Help facilitate institutional change through data
Frequently attend meetings with ASUN and Student Engagement staff to coordinate efforts
