Club Winners 2010-11

Congrats to 2010-11 ASUN Club Award Winners:

Outstanding Club of The Year - American Marketing Association:

Congratulations to The American Marketing Association who won Outstanding Club of The Year. They were nominated for their efforts with the Nintendo competition of which they ended up placing 3rd in the nation. To raise money for their trip to New Orleans to participate in the final judging of the competition, the club held several fundraising events including: Sushi Night, Brew Brothers, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewery and the Lil’ Waldorf fundraisers.

Outstanding Club Leader of the Year- Jenna Hubert, Advertising Club: 

Congratulations to Jenna Hubert who won Outstanding Club Leader of Year.  She is the president of Advertising Club and was nominated for increasing membership, improving the club and implementing new programs. She was honored at the Clubs & Organizations Banquet on April 12 that was put on by ASUN. 

Best On Campus Event - Hawaii Club's Luau:

Congratulations to the Hawaii Club who won Best On Campus Event for their annual Luau. Last year they had over 400 people attend the Luau and raised $500 for Special Olympics Hawaii. This year their proceeds were donated to the American Red Cross to support the disaster relief fund in Japan. The Luau offers traditional food, music, dances and they raffle off prizes such as gift cards and a television.

Outstanding Club Advisor - Nicole Shimabuka:

Congratulations to Nicole Shimabuka who won Outstanding Club Advisor. She was nominated for investing her time and playing a major roll in the accomplishments of Hawaii Club. Her generosity and leadership has provided the club with a strong foundation for future success.
