Join the Associated Students for the University of Nevada (ASUN) for the first Science Fair Expo on Sept. 6. The event will take place in front of Lawlor Events Center from 4 to 6:30 p.m. before the Bill Nye the Science Guy® lecture. The science fair is free and open to the public.
The expo will include exhibits from a variety of ASUN’s science and engineering clubs. Highlights include a frog dissection and a presentation of the 3D printer from the DeLaMare library.
“We are really going for the elementary school science fair feel,” said Chris Gomez, ASUN director of clubs and organizations. “Events like these give our clubs and organizations recognition while still providing the community with fun and educational entertainment.”
Clubs and organizations interested in participating can register for the fair and find more information by clicking here.
After the Science Fair, don’t forget to attend a once in a lifetime lecture from Bill Nye in the Lawlor Events Center. Doors to event open at 6 p.m. and the lecture starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the Lawlor Events Center Box Office. For more information, click here.
